Funerals and Monuments

If you would like to arrange a funeral at St Nicolas’ or St Wilfrid’s, please advise your funeral director who will liaise with the Churchwardens.

Burials in St Nicolas churchyard are now only rarely possible, usually where there is an existing family plot in the churchyard.

To add an inscription to a monument in the St Nicolas’ churchyard, please contact a monumental mason who will liaise with the Churchwardens.

The Schedule of Fees is available below for you to download which will give you the details of the charges which are set by the Church of England for funerals.
